The Semi-Christmas Celebration at Shalom Church, is one of the most joyful and awaited events of the year. Held every December from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, this annual function marks the beginning of the Christmas season with a grand celebration filled with music, dance, skits, and the message of Christ’s birth. It is a time of worship, fellowship, and spreading the love of Jesus Christ.

A Church Transformed into a Christmas Wonderland

As part of this grand celebration, our entire church is beautifully decorated with Christmas lights, ornaments, stars, and a grand Christmas tree, creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy. The decorations are so captivating that they attract people of all ages, from children to elders, filling the church with a festive spirit.

1. Opening Prayer & Welcome

The evening begins with a heartfelt prayer, dedicating the celebration to God.

2. Vibrant Performances

The program is filled with dance, skits, action songs, and singing performances by groups, solo artists, and even families.

3. Sermon on Christmas & Its Purpose

A short but powerful sermon reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the message of love, salvation, and hope.

4. Santa Claus Appearance

Bringing joy and excitement, Santa Claus makes a special appearance, adding fun and delight to the celebration.

5. Christmas Carols & Street Outreach

In the days leading up to Christmas, the church community engages in Christmas caroling throughout Electronic City, visiting streets and houses to sing carols, spread joy, and distribute gifts to families. This tradition brings light and love into the community, reminding people of the joy and hope that Christ brings.

6. Prize Distribution & Gift Giving

At the end of the program, prizes and gifts are awarded to all the children in the church, celebrating their participation and bringing smiles to their faces.

7. Fellowship Dinner

The night concludes with a special Christmas dinner, where everyone gathers to share food, laughter, and fellowship, strengthening the bonds of love and unity within the church.
